The West Tennessee Artisan Trail was created in May 2015 to focus on regional artisans and their creations, as well as to offer an Authors’ Corner at pop-up art events, a little theater and music! We want our West Tennessee artisans to be able to sell locally and to keep those tax dollars here for our state!
We also support regional art shows such as the Strawberry Festival’s Arts on Main in May, the UT Summer Celebration in July and the International Food and Arts Festival in October.
Officers: President, Jacque Hillman; Vice-President, Wanda Stanfill; Secretary, Andrew Boks;

and Treasurer, Jesse Hillman.

Board members are:
- Allison East. Jackson. Events Committee.
- Elizabeth (Libby) Lynch. Humboldt. Events Committee.
- Yuki Maguire, Germantown.
- Greg Phillips. Jackson.
- Hattie Duncan. Jackson.
- Harbert Alexander Sr. Jackson. Authors’ Corner Committee.

WTAT hosts pop-up art events, titled “Artisan Afternoon,” featuring “Fine Art, Fine Life,” in the West Tennessee region, connected with a partner. Each event will include fine art, the art of words, music and food. An online network of charter members has been created. An online magazine that offers artisans’ profiles and links to their websites will come soon. The members are juried artisans, with years of experience in their art specialties, and they will offer demonstrations at some upcoming events. At our pop-ups, we mentor young artisans, our “Emerging Artisans” recommended by members, and provide a table and tent for them. There will be a juried process for shows, but there will always be spaces for newcomers and young, gifted artisans.
